मोबाइल चोरी होने पर अक्सर लोग मायूस हो जाते हैं और शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए उन्हें धक्के खाने पड़ते हैं, लेकिन सरकार ने एक हेल्पलाइन नंबर 14422 जारी किया है। इससे पूरे देश में लोगों को अब शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए भटकना नहीं पड़ेगा। इस नंबर पर डायल करने या संदेश भेजने पर शिकायत दर्ज हो जाएगी और पुलिस व सेवा प्रदाता कंपनी मोबाइल की खोज में जुट जाएगी। दूरसंचार मंत्रालय मई के अंत में महाराष्ट्र सर्किल में इसकी शुरुआत करेगा। देश के 21 अन्य दूरसंचार सर्कल में कई चरणों में इसे दिसंबर तक लागू किया जाएगा।  दूरसंचार विभाग द्वारा तैयार सीईआईआर में हर नागरिक का मोबाइल ब्योरा होगा

No SIM will work after the complaint

According to C-DOT, no complaints will be made on mobile if any SIM is found on the complaint. But same will continue to be tracked. Given the incidents of theft and robbery of thousands of mobile phones in the last few years, C-DOT had asked the telecommunications ministry to develop this mechanism. A survey of the ministry revealed that 18,000 handsets are running on the same IMEI number in the country.
