Indian Railway has set up a centralized Catering Services Monitoring Cell in the Board’s office having a toll free number 1800-111-321 for prompt redressal of the passenger grievances related to the catering activities for real time assistance to traveling public. On the same pattern, Catering Monitoring Cells have been set up at Zonal and Divisional level for daily monitoring of the catering activities.
Indian Railway has ensured continuous monitoring of the services provided to the passengers. If any irregularity is found punitive actions like imposition of fine, warning and termination of contract etc. are taken according to the gravity of offence/irregularity. As per extant Catering Policy, 2010, Railways proposed to have base kitchens in railway premises for close monitoring the quality.

Catering service was very poor. They gave only 2 bottle water .And behavior was very bad . Food quality was very neglected. I also request yours please follow my review and do solve this problem.

I order a veg thali in the train for doing dinner, served by train pantry service which cost is 120 rupees
But in 120 rupees meal given in a
Disposal thali is given instead of plastic thali and in there low quality unboiled yellow daal
, unboiled chole with more water
Low quality rice
Overall Waste of money and froud by irctc catering no quality food is provide
In 120 rupees food provide 1 small spoon dal,one small spoon chole
3 very small like one bite of chapati
And very low like cota(ration) rice
It is totally froud to the costumers so please do not eat this type of non hygienic food provide by irctc catering
Also tea quality very worst because only hot water supply with one tea strip on the price of 10 rupees

Bad quality of food
Bad quality food supplied by irtc on platform vendor at chengal pat station
I travelled from chennai to trichy on 1/4/2021 by Rameshwaram express 5.45 pm in chennai leaving, i purchased food on platform seller, it is labelled irtc food, for that reason i purchased one idly pocket and one vegetable briyanni at chengalpat station from platform seller. Idly is not good and samber they gave is not upto the quality( not good to taste ) and vegetable briyanni is not good to eat( over chilly taste) we cannot eat. Irtc caterring in trains showing many advertisement in media but their quality is worst not eatable by normal person. Here after change all. Then only people get good food.

I was travelling on 02.07.2019, from NJP-To-SDAH, by 12344, Darjeeling Mail, 3Ac Coach-B4, Berth-9 . I had booked meal with order no.18642377,OTP-7504 & have paid the amount of Rs.158/- online. When the delivery person came with food at KGN (KIshanganj Station), he asked me to pay the amount in cash in spite of my already online payment. When I refused to repeat the payment, he took back the food & not delivered.
I have already made a complaint over phone to customer care, from where, I had been asked that, nothing can be done now against my complaint., but, only the paid amount will be refunded to my account.
Now this is the 8th day, but, the amount has not been refunded to me.
I had been given a promo code for a discount of Rs.100/-. When I tried to apply the given promo code to my another order no.20777524, your system asked that, the given promo code is invalid..
This is my very bad experience with E catering of IRCTC.

I was travelling on 02.07.2019 , from NJP-To-SDAH by 12344 darjeeling Mail, in 3AC Coach-B 4, Berth-9 . I had placed online order of my food to E-Catering, with vide order no.18642377, Order OTP-7504 & have paid Rs.158/- online through my Debit card. E-catering confirmed me the order & acknowledge receipt of payment both through sms. But, when the delivery boy came to me at Station, he asked me to pay the Billed amount of Rs.158/- in cash. When I refused to repeat the payment, he took back the food & not delivered.
I have made the said complaint over phone to 1323,from where I have been asked that, the paid amount of Rs.158/- will be refunded to me.
Sir,I hope amount will be refunded to me. But, you may understand that, due to your very poor net work, I had to be without dinner at night during the journey, in spite of my pre order & payment..
Kindly improve your net work & service. So that, no one may suffer like me.

Trying to book ticket from Nagpur to Pune (Garibrath Express).
While booking I chose one of the berth preference as lower. The booking failed saying that lower berth is not available but the amount get deducted. (More than 200 tickets are available for this train , I am unable to understand how come all lower berths are occupied and rest 200 ticket are not having any lower berth)
Later made3 more attempts to book ticket without giving any berth preference. However, at all three times the booking failed saying that lower berth is not available although berth preference was not given. In all three attempts ticket amount get deducted from my account. This is very pathetic service. I am unable to book e-ticket although tickets are available and I haven’t given any berth preference.
There should be some mechanism for failed ticket booking.The amount should not be deducted in case of failed ticket booking

QUALITY OF TEA SERVED IN GOLDEN TEMPLE EX PRESS 12904 ON 29 APR 19 is worst then poor.
It is just warm water with little sugar.
No milk ,no tea leaves , no tea leaves and not boiled to bring test in it.
After having a sip only abuse come on words after paying 10 Rs for a cup
It is very bad, why you people don’t afraid of God or justice,
Why you don’t look ad satisfy yourself and ensure lts quality.
Pls improve it.

Respected Sir,
This is for your kind information that I visited Bolpur Santiniketan on 25th March, 2019 for official work. During lunch time, I visited the IRCTC labeled Jan Aahar counter [run by M/s. RAJ Group] at Bolpur Santiniketan station [platform no. 1] of Eastern Railway under Howrah Dvn. And ordered one plate of Butter Toast with double egg omlet which costs Rs. 30.00 [according to pricelist mentioned on the overleaf of journey ticket].
After receiving the ordered menu at delivery counter, it is unfortunate and regret to inform you that the quality of the toast was very poor. The single [instead of double] egg was half fried. No butter was applied with the bread. Tomato sauce was served to me with the bread was bad odored. The entire menu was charged at Rs. 36.00 instead of Rs.30.00.
The cashier at the cash counter denied to hand over the cash memo in spite of my repeated request.
In this connection, the undersigned humbly requests you to kindly look after the matter for the perusal to the nation.
